SOURCE: trouble code p0125 insuficient coolant temp on

Many shops have a hand held pyrometer that can check actual engine temperature. you can get a rough idea what the temp is by using a thermometer taped to the upper radiator hose. Normal engine temp is generally in the 210degree (f) range. If it is at or close to that I'd change the temperature sending unit. If it is far below normal, check that the thermostat is not stuck open (replace if it is).

SOURCE: toyota echo 2000, check engine light comes on

When your light is on, you need to take the car to Autozone or Advanced and have it scanned. They will do it for free and they will let you know why it is on.

first check radiator level if it is full and the heater is working good make sure temp gauge is functioning c orrectly it is most likely the coolant temp sensor but if this is a high milage vehicle and you have owned long time and never changed i would also replace thermostat and check plug to temp sensor forr good conections and good wires

1999 toyota siena p0125

The P0125 code means Coolant Temperature Insufficient for Closed Loop Operation. The P0125 "closed loop fuel control" thing is referring about your vehicle no longer being in "warm up" mode. In warm up mode you vehicle does not rely on sensors, it just follows default values for a specific length of time to warm up the engine, then it will adjust everything according to the sensors's inputs to the computer on the vehicle.
Take care
