During the last week I noticed my Honda Accord 07 making a very high pitched sqeaking noise on cold days (usually below zero) but goes away after 5 minutes of driving. Is this something I need to be worried about? Is it safe to drive on the freeway? (I never hear that noise after the engine warms up).
It is an automatic transmission vehicle.
That Squeeling is your Belt. You may need a New Belt Tensioner to keep it Tighter. As a Quick fix, Go to your Auto Parts Store and get a Can of Fan Belt Dressing and spray this on the Belt and it will be Quite for a while. Please Rate my Solution, I need all the Help I can Get! Thanks!
Its more than likely a bad worn or loose drive belt. Here is what you do the next time you start this vehicle up and the noise is herd open the hood and pour some water on the drive belts this noise should go away or get louder temporarily. If it does turn vehicle off and check for loose or damaged/worn drive belt and replace or adjust if needed. Good luck and contact if you nee more help, thanks for using FIX YA
