Bypass the security system in the ignition - 1989 Cadillac Eldorado

You can either buy a security bypass online or wire in two 15k resistors into the three ignition wires. Pink, green and brown.

It is integrated in your entire electrical system of your vehicle. the only way to bypass is to get an aftermarket alarm with a bypass module which will require an additional ignition key (which is inserted into the bypass module).

The 2000 saturn runs the passlock system. Unlike VATS its predecesser, this system is much harder to bypass. The old "resister" trick that many people still do, does not apply for this system. So lets start at the basics. The security light flashing indicates 1 of 3 things. The problem in your passlock is either in the KEY, IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER, or WIRING before the Theft Deterrent Module (computer). This means you could replace the key or the ignition (whichever is to blame) and you might be ok. You would have to reprogram the key to the ignition. The other option is to bypass it. Unfortunately that costs money also, but honestly no more than a new transponder key and far less than a Lock Cylinder. Just trying to give you all the options. If you do not have any security units set you can get the wire for the ignition and have it hotwired. Otherwise you can use a bypass tool for the security system.

YOU CAN CRANK VECHICLE BY PUTTING KEY IN THE IGNITION SWITCH IN ON POSITION FOR 10 MINUTES UNTIL SECURITY LIGHT TURN ITSELF OFF.THEN TURN OFF IGNITION SWITCH FOR 5 SECONDS THEN START ENGINE.YOU CANT BYPASS THE THEFT SECURITY SYSTEM BECAUSE ITS A FEATURE THAT CAME WITH TRUCK.THEFT SECURITY SYSTEM IS CONTROL BY BCM AND PCM. IF YOUR IGNITION KEYS AND SWITCH IS FAULTY ALSO THE BCM THEY ALL HAVE TO BE REPLACED AT DEALERSHIP AND REPROGRAMMED CANT BYPASS SYSTEM YOU HAVE TO GET IT FIXED.

It is ALOT cheaper to get the security fault repaired then to try to bypass the system.It is a veryyyy time consuming task and doesn't always work.
