have the BCM checked for codes as this is what controls these.

Ford edge only has a compass not a outside temp display.

only one thing here by the sound of it and thats a new head gasket ,they do corrode and fail with age

change your dealership ,infact i would say this is not a ford reconised dealer ship,it might advertise ford full stop.Any good dealer would reconise this problem as the switch and i have taught 16/17 year old who would have had your problem fixed and sorted in 10 mins.adrian,,,,,,,,,,,

Yellow snowflake usually is in reference to the A/C in the car. If that is not lit up then it is not fully activating the A/C system in the car, press it to start pumping in the really cold air. :)

sounds like a drain such as glove box or trunk light not making contact to fully close the light causing it to stay lit causing a draw or a bad alternator or even a dead cell in the battery

this is caused by low battery voltage, have the battetry tested, but am sure u will need to replace it.

you may have a stuck thermostat,if all fans are working then just flush out radiator and replace
thermostat.check for any coolant leaks and check coolant level after few days
