Peugeot Partner Fuel Pump Problem.

Hi bro, I do have the same start up problem with my peugeot partner van. Do you have any solution for that? How do I check the leakage?

    Hi.

I have changed the 4 new glow plug and fuel filter whole unit and I was told that if after changing those 2 parts the problem still persist then will be the fuel pump problem that will cost me nearly a thousand to fix it and is not changing part and just overhaul it.

I don't know where is the fuel pump and how to locate the digits?

Fuel primer? There is a round black manually pump beside the fuel filter and have to pump it a few times before i can start the engine but i have noticed that the right side connector will leak out some drops after i keep pumping, don't know whether it is too full that leak out.

I am able to start my vehicle after my workshop told me that i can manually pump if it fails to start.

I don't think that is a puff of black smoke after i am able to start.

Glow plug light means the SPRING icon at the dashboard? The SPRING icon light up and I wait till it turn off then i start the engine.

How do I actually check where is the leakage? By using grease?

    Thank you.

I just purchased a 2005 Peugeot Partner and one week after purchased
stop starting, the dealer took it and fixed it, two days later it
happened again. Can anyone help us point the problem? Is there any
other special way to start it being diesel other than waiting for the
    yellow indicator to be off?

Just a few questions if you dont mind

What is the last 3 digits on the fuel pump?

Does it have a fuel primer? (black oval hand pump in fuel line)

    Does it start eventually?

if it starts, is there a large puff of smoke from exhaust?

Does the glow plug light come on with ignition?

    Cheers

If that connection is leaking, then that is more than likely the problem. If fuel is leaking out, then air will leak in. When the van is left overnight, the fuel will run back down the fuel line to the tank, leaving air in the pipe. The fuel system must be completely air tight. Try slapping some grease around the connection and see if it starts in the morning. if it does then replace the connector and you have fixed the problem.

Peugeot Partner van, UK 61 reg. Where is the fuel pump on my van please?

Question edited for clarity.

The fuel or feed pump is intended to supply the carburettor in your Peugeot PARTNER ORIGIN with petrol. The fuel pump is situated in the fuel tank. It is completely submerged in petrol and linked by a pipe to the high-pressure injection pipe in the engine.

Fuel Pump for Peugeot PARTNER ORIGIN - Mister-auto.ie

Always hidden in the tank. There is a filter you can check as well.

Peugeot Partner van 1.4 petrol. Crank won't start, strong smell of petrol?

Engines only need three things to start.

  1. Fuel (we know you have that)
  2. Compression (we assume nothing happened since the last time it ran)
  3. A spark at the right time (this is the likely culprit)
