Google year & make of car for fuse panel fuse diagram. Do the fuse trick you did. If you notice any corrosion or caked gunk on fuse legs...replace fuse....If problem persists it's probably the VSS Vehicle Speed Sensor which gives the vehicle speed to the speedometer.
Just replacing the plug or terminal will be enough. Make sure to tighten the replacement very well. Loose contacts create high electrical resistance heating the plug or terminal. High temperature creates even more resistance heating even more the plug or terminal. This is the reason why it melts. Good luck.
check if the car is firing by pulling an ht lead off the plugs and put another spark plug on the ht and earth the spark plug if it has spark when cranking if it is there check the fuel system if the fuel is getting to the injectors.
I strongly suggest your first priority will be to discover why your tail lights are seemingly consuming many times more current than they should. A 30 amp fuse has less resistance than a 10 amp though the difference is hardly measurable.
I suspect when that is sorted out the other faults could disappear without further effort.
It is time to find a circuit diagram and to trace the tail light wiring from the supply to the lamps in order to discover what went wrong.
Check your wiring going down to the starter and see if it is grounding out against the exhaust. If not check all your wiring to and from alt. Something is grounding out. 50 amp fuse is a big fuse so something is going to ground.
The relays are pretty fool proof--not like fuses where they have different amperages. Switching fuses or relays will not drain the battery. OK, so you have a new battery and alternator, right? And the car is not starting? And you think it's because the battery has drained? Is anything else not working right now? Did you in stall it your self ? if so make sure you didnt blow fuses and check the connections make sure you are getting power and if you put subs and power amp and stuff like that make sure you have enough battery power to power everything if not the car wont even turn at all cuz the juice is working on its own to start the radio. check also you didnt cut any wires while doing so and if you didnt install it your self and took it in then take it back something went wrong maybe....
