1999 lincoln navigator..turn signals, pw, radio, int lights will not function. checked fuses and bulbs any idea?

My wife took it to a ford dealer in Missouri who said the fuse box was bad, he gave her a quote but it had ecm on the service write up. so not sure. it has 290K miles but runs absolutely great except this problem.

That's odd. Why would he put ecm on the estimate for a bad fuse block? Not to question the dealer, but do this quick check: look in the power distribution box under the hood, and check for a large, perhaps 60 amp, maxi-fuse, dedicated for the fuse box. Ifr you have such a fuse, check that it is still good. Many vehicles have this type set-up.

On the passenger side, under the dash, on the right side if you are looking at the dash. There is another one in the trunk next to battery. There is a third one under the hood behind the right headlight.

Have a 2011 Lincoln Navigator the front blinkers not working but rear blinkers are, checked the bulbs, no help

If the front blinkers on your 2011 Lincoln Navigator are not working, but the rear blinkers are, there are a few things you can check:
  1. Check the fuses: The first thing to check is the fuses for the turn signals. Look for the fuse box that contains the fuses for the turn signals and check to see if any of them are blown.
  2. Check the bulbs: You mentioned that you already checked the bulbs, but it's always a good idea to double-check. Make sure the bulbs are the correct size and are securely installed.
  3. Check the wiring: Check the wiring for any visible damage, corrosion or loose connections. Look for any frayed or damaged wires that may be causing a short circuit.
  4. Check the turn signal switch: The turn signal switch may be faulty, preventing the front blinkers from working. Test the turn signal switch to see if it is working properly.
If none of these steps solve the problem, it's possible that there may be an issue with the wiring harness or the control module. In this case, it's recommended to take the vehicle to a professional mechanic for further diagnosis and repair.

Turn signal flasher on a 1998 Lincoln Town Car

Doesn't have a turn signal flasher , use's lighting control module .
Turn Signal and Hazard Lamps The turn signal system consists of:
  • turn signal miniature bulbs (13465).
  • turn signal indicators in the instrument cluster (10849).
  • lighting control module.
  • multi-function switch (13K359).
  • circuit wiring and circuit protection.
Power is supplied to the lighting control module through instrument panel Fuse 6 (10A). This fuse is hot in START or RUN. The lighting control module is connected to the turn signal switch portion of the multi-function switch. Ground is provided to the lighting control module and the turn signal miniature bulbs through Circuit 57 (BK).
Turn signal functions are performed by double filament bulbs in lamp assemblies located next to the headlamps. The turn/hazard function uses the second filament of the appropriate bulb(s).
  • With the multi-function switch in the right turn position, power is supplied to the RH front and rear turn signal miniature bulbs and the right turn indicator in the instrument cluster.
  • With the multi-function switch in the left turn position, power is supplied to the LH front and rear turn signal miniature bulbs and the left turn indicator in the instrument cluster.

Why does turn signal sound all the time unless the br(ake) is pressed?

Taryn, sounds like a faulty turn signal switch, or multi function switch is defective. Check all the bulbs and sockets first for damage wires, burnt wires or bulb socket, cheapest part to change besides bulbs would be the signal flasher or the signal relay if you want to go this route. Below are trouble shooting links you can read or watch.

Radio lights off on 1998 ford explorer

1 -Check your head light switch and turn signal switch by taping them lightly - Common problem with fords to short signal light switch/head lights and they also have radio lights/clock lights control(lights dim for Radio/clock when you turn the lights on)

If you have checked all the fuses and switchs, possible that the light bulbs have burned out. Check with a local radio repair shop and they can remove the radio and install new bulbs.
