I will turn the truck off and the battery light and the radio stays on. I popped the hood and hear a humming sound in the alt. So I unplugged that, took out an ignition fuse and its still drawing power and if I let it sit there like that over night, I have to jump it the next morning!
SOURCE: battery keeps dying due to radio+clock staying on
your radio is staying on? you have a bad door switch.the bcm does not see door opening and thus does not turn radio off. most likely the drivers door.
SOURCE: Factory Stereo Drains Battery
I have had this problem with a few of my cars and I thought the same that my battery was gettin drained by the stereo but really my battery was going bad hich resulted in the radio staying on for some odd reason, but i replaced the battery and all is good with no more problems, so I would take my battery down and have it tested.

First Visually check all your fuses. Does rig have amp for stereo by any chance? It sounds like amp is bad and/or fuse is blown. Amp is wired between radio and speakers, and a shorted amp would make crackling in speakers when radio is OFF
