Dash light says "no oil presure"

After stopping the auto and restart, the light went out. Came back on after about 10 miles on freeway. Repeated the same with the same results. No engine problems and sounds ok after 50 miles driven.

SOURCE: car started fine..stopped, no restart, no click, dead lights on.

try getting a boost for your car.... the battery may be failing. it doesn't take alot of power to turn on the lights... but a huge drain on the battery to start it. if it will not start with a boost i could very well be that the starter has failed. as you attempt to start it... have someone tap the starter with a hammer. if it starts... replace the starter.... if it starts normally with a boost you likely need a new battery

SOURCE: Oil light on @ idle

its a high mileage engine.
all you need to do is use a thicker oil and the light will go out at idle speeds.

use a 50w sae valvoline racing oil.
plus stp oil treatment.

do that and that light is all gone.

Hesitation where car felt like it bucked, check engine light went on

Go to an Autozone or Advanced Auto and have them read the code for free. The problem can be anywhere until you know the codes.

No oil presure

The sending unit was my guess...Could be the oil pump going bad...Or even a to good brand oil filter restraining the oil from recirculating...I've seen it happen..

Engine won't go over 5-10 MPH

You need to take the car to the dealer, because you need to recalibrate the electric throttle body with a TECH 2 Scanner, because the system went into a Limp mode.

The engine in my 96 Toyota Curren (auto 1835cc)

What you could be hearing is the the result of the lack of oil pressure. Make sure you have the proper oil filter. If your car requires a filter with a check valve, and your filter does not have one, it can allow the oil to drain back into the engine over night. then when you restart it, it takes that long to pump up the oil presure. also check your oil level, or you if it is time for an oil change, make sure you use 10w 30 oil. or if you have over 150,000 miles on it, you might try 10w40.
Hope this helps

Oil light goes on...had a dry stick 4 1/2 qts put in. no oil on ground. after oil change light went on at 70 miles.. on 15 secs then off for 5 miles then on again 15 secs--- off 4 miles--off 3 miles- off 2...

if it's not going onto the ground, and it's not being burned, check the positive crankcase ventilation and the exhaust gas recirculation valves for oil seepage...also check your air filter, if its got oil on it replace the pcv valve.

1995 olds cutless is it my transmission

oil condition could be a problem
I am inclined to think that you took the car to an auto spares shop that does free fault codes reading, you will find that it is servos/ solenoids or problem TCM that is causing the problems
may even be problem wiring connectors or harness problems around the transmission
I am sure that it is not a transmission problem , just what controls the ration changes
