Based on my experience with many of these crank/no starts with Grand Cherokees, I would say it is the crank position sensor. I have replaced many on these vehicles and it is in an unpleasant location. If the PCM doesn't see the crank signal from the CPS, it will shut down the ASD(Automatic shutdown) relay causing a no start condition because it cuts power to the ignition coil, fuel pump and injectors. Check power at the coil and one of the fuel injectors. If you don't have power at both, the ASD is shutting both down because of the PCM seeing something it doesn't like.
Usually on the 96-up vehicles, I have a scantool connected, I crank the engine and look at the live data related to engine rpms. If the CPS is working, I will see rpms show up during cranking. On a 93, you will have use a multimeter at the connector. The CPS is located on the top, back of the transmission bellhousing on the driver-side, but the harness runs along the back across to the passenger side.
You may need a shop manual for the wiring diagrams and test procedures.
The coil is powered from the ASD relay on the dark green and orange wire. It is grounded from the computer.

Check the wire from the solenoid to the coil. Should be a red wire with a stripe on the second small terminal of the solenoid.

also may be battery, stater or ignition. the ms509 scanner can help you to know where is the problem.
Remove distributor cap have someone tap the key while you watch the rotor inside the distributor if it does not move that is the problem then it could be the gear shear pin has broke or cam is not turning distributor.
