How do I set the clock? Holding the mode button brings up 12 Hour then flashing time, seek buttons not making the time change.
Could be a faulty clock which is not unusual on cars left in the long term parking without the battery disconnected .It sort of damages the chip inside the clock when battery voltage drops ,who knows if this is the problem but i could never set the clock on the video which i still have but my 5 yr old grandson done it when he was here on holiday in the summer and i have had a power cut since then soi now its flashing again so i just unplugged it:Only keeping it as i can play a big tape direct from my ancient giant video camera which amuses the grandkids no end but it cost me a lot of money when i bought it so iam reluctant to dump it .

Actully, you need to press and HOLD the "mode" button for a few seconds. It will then display the setting for the speed sensative volume. Press the mode button agian and it will switch to "set clock". You can select a 12 hour (standard) or 24 hour (military) clock. You then use the key pad to enter the time and the AM or PM setting .

I found this on a wiki search...it worked for me on my 03 X-Type
"Press and hold the mode button with the radio on. This will bring up a screen, select 12 or 24 hour scale, depending on what your preference is...press mode again...now enter the time with the keypad, using a "0" before the hour,if the hour is not in double digits. Press mode again...Now use the # button to change from AM to PM. Hope this helps!
