If the ABS system is functional u will have no ABS warning light showing in the dash except when u first turn the key on, that is a prove out to show the indicator light is working. If the ABS has a problem of any kind the light will always stay on when driving and the system will be disabled..

2004 focus ABS light on with no error code. Defective module?

Maybe a short in the light circuit or in the cluster..If you can communicate with the abs module and it tell you there is no codes then the module is probably ok..A code reader will not show you codes..You have got to have a scanner that will read more than engine codes to read the abs system..

My abs light stays on on my ford focus

when the ABS light stays on it means there is a fault present in the ABS system and the ABS has been disabled, as long as the light is on u just have regular brakes with no ABS, there are many thinbgs that can turn the light on, most common is one of the wheel speed sensors is defective, since these sensors are about $75-100 each and there are 4 of them guessing is a poor idea, so what u need to do is have the ABS systwem tested, there will be a fault code present to help narrow down the defective part or wiring.

Abs light on car has been to ford dealer problem

If you paid good money to have it fixed at a FORD AGENT then take it back and tell them that you are going to wait for it and dont take any **** from them as all work done by a Ford agent will be under warranty so if its still in warranty time take it back, or tell them your take it to the papers and let them tell the world..
It works belive me.
Let me know how you get on . RON

1999 f150 anti lock brakes

John, My 99 F150 had an abs light on and I found the right side front wheel sensor wire had fallen off of the inner fender mount and burned the insulation and grounded the wires together, I taped up the wires and tied it up and the light went out. Your ABS module is located directly beneath your air cleaner next to and just above the steering gear box. It is black plastic and silver alumnium. Says Kelsey-Hayes right on and has six brake lines attached to it. As for the rear brake take that drum off again and have someone help by pushing the brake pedal down while the drum is off press lightly and very slowly, verify that the brake cylinder is moving, do not push hard and fast as it will probably blow the pistons out of the cylinder! If is is frozen replace it and bleed and it should be fine. The brake light is probably on for low fluid. Let me know how it goes.

Ford focus abs light dose not light up at all . ( 99-1.6.petrol)

read your owner manual to see when the BAS light should be on during "prove out." Sometimes the prove out is after the engine starts.
Also, if the ABS ever fails, you always still have regular power brakes.

You should go on a gravel road and slam on the brakes to se if the anti'lock still functions. You will hear the BAS motor run and the pedal pulse. good luck

ABS warning light

The Electronic Brake Control Module is a little part but costs a lot of money. I don't know about the Longitudinal accelerometer sensor. I know other cars do have it.
