LOCATION OF THE BATTERY ON 2004 CADILLAC DEVILLE
I know of the remote battery under hood on the left side, I have located the positive cable connection, and the manual states the negative cable connection is near the power steering pump.
But my question/problem is I need a specific picture of what the the negative cable connection looks like can you provide me a visual on this?
Its under the rear seat you just have to pull there are clips all around. just be careful about the wires for the heated seats
If one does not know the actual answer and has no experience with that particular model / year why does one feel compelled to "answer" the question?!?! < eyes rolling > There is no battery under the hood on a 2004 DeVille. And the remote battery connections under the hood are under the right (aka, passenger) side of the engine compartment. The red (+) is on the fuse box while the black (-) is the metal tab attached to the engine about 6 inches away from the (+) terminal.
Remember:
• NEVER let the red jumper clip touch the black jumper clip (and yes I know it doesn't matter when nothing is on a battery connection but it is just a good habit to get into).
• Connect the red jumper cable first on the red (+) terminal on the vehicle being started.
• Then connect the black jumper cable to the black (-) terminal on the vehicle being started.
• Then connect the red jumper cable to the red (+) terminal on the vehicle already running.
• Then connect the black jumper cable to the black (-) terminal on the vehicle already running.
At NO TIME should the red and black clips or jumpers touch each other!! Failure to follow this rule can result in melting jumper cables and exploding batteries. If unsure, let the AAA guy handle it. He gets paid to take chances.
Let the running vehicle run for a few minutes to get a charge into the dead battery before trying to start the vehicle not running.
Under the hood on the Left Side Front I do Believe.
