My engine light is on...and the codes i've got from autozone are P 0730, P 0780 and P0775. A mechanic looked at the car and said the battery cables are rusted. Can this be the only problem? When driving the car, when pressing the gas, the car does not move ( RPM go high, but car not accelerating).THis usually happens at low speeds ( when first starting the car and till reaching around 40mph).
how much will cost changing the cables? can it be the tranny?
The codes that you listed are all transmission shift control codes. You need to have it checked by a good transmission shop.
the problem is that i dont know any good one ( close to where i live). can it be just an electrical problem from those rusted cables? When i first had the problem i did a transmission fluid flush that solved the problem for about one week, then same thing happened again

If the S light is blinking, this indicates that there is an electrical problem somewhere it the TCM circuit. I have included a link that takes you to an excellent page which shows you how to read the codes and what they mean.

Also, The top solenoids are for the lockup clutch and the bottom ones are the shift solenoids.
As for the Immobilizer causing problems, if it was incorrectly wired to the TCM, then it could possibly cause a problem.

Ok you have a 4 cilynder engine, and you transmission is bad, and you are forcind the engine because you need more RPM that the normaly need it for certain speed, don't continue ussing you car like that because you will brake you engine too, and you will spend depend where do you live

You will find a copy of the very recent order by the National Highway Safety Administration which will require Honda to fix this problem for you. Mine just dies too. yes, this is the case of a failed throttle body, in which case it needs replaced, the car is getting too much fuel causing the high idle. this needs replaced asap. you could proably find a small independant honda shop that could do the work for less.
