read (you meant main harness to radio sub harness.)
and car may have 5 or more harness for 5 or more very complex radio head end options new,so only the real service manual covers all that for sure,or if lucky 2nd fiddle here.
remove factory radio ,if you dont have the special tool to do this you can use coat hangers but I perfer using the factory tool sold at wallmart (the cheepest) or autozone push tools into holes on both ends of radio pull radio out. disconect wireing harnes and antenna wire.To install new radio you will need a wireing adaptor and a install kit. These must be spasific to your vehicle. you can buy these online Ebay , or Amazon or off line wallmart or orillys auto parts you will have to connect your new radio wiring harness to wiring adaptor.put install kit on new radio attach antenna wire connect wireing adaptor to original radio wiring push radio gently back into dash with install kit attached. enjoy your new radio. if this was helpful please leave good feed back.
Buy wiring kit and radio dash kit from parts store for the paticuliar vehicle remove old radio, splice wires from new stereo to wiring kit, they should be color coded, install radio dash kit plug in wiring harness slide stereo into dash and enjoy
I always would go to bestbuy or walmart to get a harness adapter kit and the radio bezel installation kit to install an aftermarket radio. Just plug it in, and the wires are all labeled for speakers, antenna, power, etc.
Personally owning this car and installing several Hyundai stereo's, I would purchase a wiring harness kit from car audio shop or electronics retailer. The wire harness has a plug that connects to the cars wiring harness. This wiring harness kit will also list the wires to connect your new aftermarket radio to the harness. I would also recommend using crimped **** connectors to attach the two harnesses together.
best advice is to go to a stereo store or a auto parts and by a harness kit. this way you sit at a desk and match up wires, crimp em together, then just plug them in. compare the schematics of deck and kit and thats it, there like 15-20 bucks and you dont cut any factory wires to install.
all you gotta do is carfully pry the dash panel off (prying from the far left end is easiest) completely remove panel. then there are 2 clips that hold the factory sterio in place. push on the both clips while pulling the radio out. simply disconnect the wiring harness from the back of the radio. using an adapter avaliable at your local radio shop (scosche p/n gm02,mdarb andgm1483b) wiring harness, dash install kit, and antenna adapter. then simply match the colors on the new radio's harness to the adapter harness, crimping each connection with a "but plug". then simply follow the instructions included with the dash install kit to assemble the kit.connect the antenna adapter to radio, plug in all cables. test to see if everything works properly before the final install. install sterio into dash install kit, re installing kit where origional radio was. then simply put the panel back in its place by firmly pushing on it untill it snaps into place. then enjoy your new radio!
If installing Toyota radios/CD Players they just plug in regluar sockets in vehicle.
If installing Non-Toyota radios/CD Players youll have to buy a wiring kit from Wal-Mart/Circuit City/etc it would have the wiring diagram in it.
