Key will not turn to start vehicle.

Went out to move car into garage and the key will not turn. Earlier I went through the car wash an returned home . About a hour later I went back out to drive up town and I started vehicle it stalled. When it started a flashing light check transmission light game on. I drove it but, had no pick up at all. Got home and tried to start it later and the wheel was frozen and the key would not turn. I moved the steering wheel and tried everything, nothing works.

Try pushing in the key while turning the wheel either way. And jiggling it. This happens because the steering locks for the car's protection. If we park it with the wheels turned, it locks in that position. If that does not work, you may have to call a good mechanic to help you.

Went to get in my car after just returning home from a 15 minute drive. key will not turn in ignition... lights work on car,

Try turning the steering wheel (hard) right and left while trying to turn the key. Steering lock and Ignition lock kind of work in conjunction. Also make sure vehicle is fully in park.

Guages when crazy. Now won't even try to start.

You likely have it repaired by now but it sounds like a classic case of oxidized battery or cable connection (sometimes mis-diagnosed as bad battery but cured with new (clean) battery)

My 1997 Honda accord won't start but will crank

This could be the fuel pump relay or the fuel pump. Listen to see if you can here the fuel pump when you first turn the key on. Might be easier to here if someone turns the key on and off while you listen with trunk open. If you are getting fuel to engine then I would check the distributor control module next. I hope this may help.

2005 pontiac key won't start car

If you have a center console shifter make absolutely positve the gear select is all the way up into PARK, even the slightest thing in the way can cause the key to lock you from starting vehicle, if a coin or other object fell down into the slot of the shifter it could effect it. If you try to start in Nuetral place foot on the brake first, shift into Nuetral and try to start. The start/Nuetral safety switch could be bad as well, but hopefully it is something as simple as a penny in the way. wiggle shift lever all the way into park. I had a guest the other day who could not get her key out of the car, and she had a coke from wendys in the cup holder, the shift lever would not go all the way home by quarter of an inch, as soon as I moved the cup forward the shift lever fell into place on its own and the key came right out.

assuming you don't have an owners manual for the car either, my guess would be to use the key to lock, then unlock the door from the outside. It should disarm the alarm when unlocking and entering the vehicle in the usual manner.
