Having problems starting on cold days in the single digits. seems like it is not getting gas? or not enough cold cranking amps on the battery? the car has about 48K miles on it.
No the starter seems sounds fine
Make sure you have a fully charged battery. When starting the car, push the gas pedal down to the floor to engage the choke. Then push pedal halfway down and turn the ignition. Try jump starting to see if it is the battery. If it still turns slow it may be a bad starter.
Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities.
It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then
it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure
or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty
ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.
To confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.
