My brake lights work fine. I have checked bulbs to make sure nothing needs replaced. My reverse lights do not work nor do my tail lights. My dash lights quit working about 2 weeks ago when I replaced the switch for my headlights. I am not sure if that might have something to do with why those lights aren't working, but I definitely need them seeing as how I have to drive at night for work.
Check your fuses. I had the same problem with a 90 Honda civic. Dash lights went out, tail lights also went out. Replaced 1 fuse and all came back on.
SOURCE: Headlights don't work.
There is a circuit breaker inside the headlight switch body. It gets weak over time and use. The breaker is actually mentioned in the owners manual. A new switch is about $75.00 at the local parts store. You must remove the front of the dash to change the switch. Mine would go off and then in about 30 seconds reset and the lights would come back on. I would be driving down the road with my headlights flashing as the circuit breaker opened and closed. New switch = problem fixed.
SOURCE: Need fuse schematic
if the fuse was blown the stop lights on both sides would be inop, also if the stop light circuit were dead u would be unable to get the trans out of park, use a 12 volt test light and test the brake light switch at the top of the brake pedal, u can buy a test light from Autozone, kragen and others for about $5 US. If the system has power cjheck the bulb socket it may be defective, use the 12 volt test light while someone pushes the brake pedal. let me know what u find and i will give u further assistance as ness.
SOURCE: Right brake light out; tail light works fine
most rear tail lights and turn/stop lights are the same dual filiment bulb. it is possible for your tail light to work and your brake light not to and still have a bad bulb. I would check the bulb first, your brake light works on the left yes? this would mean that the fuse is fine
SOURCE: check fuse replace brake light switch, and still
first check the fuse for the stop light circuit, if it's good, check your bulbs, it's possible they are all burned out! take one of them out, swap in a new one, and see if it lights. If not, get a wiring diagram and start checking for your powers and grounds. Take a look at the stop light switch on the brake pedal. If it's no good, there is a good chance that your cruise control may not work properly either. Good luck.

Hello kelly fox: my name is Roger and I will help you. There are only a couple of things most likely to be the problem. I would look at the head lamp bulbs first. I have had the same problem of both lamps suddenly burn out on my dodge ram. The only other component is the multi function switch could have a problem. This could happen but most likely the bulbs are the issue. Should you need further help please just ask. Please rate the answer. Thank You for using Fix Ya. Roger
