1997 GMC K2500 Suburban Desiel (cuttin off?????)

Ok, thanks 4 the helpful hint about the fuel filter. Changed it already. Also I went and spent more money at a shop and they replaced the fuel shut off valve on the injection pump. Help for about 4 days and went back to cuttin off again. it's kinda of weird. someday it will run all day.then the next day it will crank and get 2miles from the house and starts acting up. Don't Know? I've replace everything that i can think of accept the fuel pump and the injection pump. Vacumn test and votage test was normal. did what it was supposed to do. STUCK?

Hello...I have a '95 GMC K2500 Suburban with a 5.7L that failed a recent emissions test. I replaced the spark plugs, removed and cleaned the EGR...cap, rotor wires look OK...truck re-tested worst
Retarding the timing will cool the combustion which will lower the Hydrocarbon number,it will run bad but after a passed e test put the timing back to an advanced state which may help with the stumble.

if no fuel pressure after filter, replace filter. otherwise check for fuel presure at engine

99 suburban missing only at idle
Hello;
Have you checked the fuel pressure? You may have a sticking fuel regulator, causing too much fuel at idle. Since it works fine off idle and cruise I would look there.
