If the temperature gauge is reading normal, have the heater control valve checked.

Most likely low on coolant. When engine is cool, check radiator level.

Engine running hot and heater blowing cold air

Sounds like you are low on coolant. May be full in bottle but empty in Radiator. Make sure you check when cold. Possible waterpump leak or if you have rear heat, the coolant tubes to the rear

Heater slow to work

this sounds normal in very cold conditions! The air is never hot when you first start the car in any car, until the engine warms up, then the heater air will also warm. You could check your anti-freeze level for the first thing. If you don't have enough anti-freeze, it won't run through your heater to give you the proper heat

2005 dodge grand caravan heat not working. one vent blows warm air and the others just blow reg. air. also ac isnt blowing cold air. freon put in worked for a month now not working.

There is a recall that has something to do with the air/heat system in 2005 Dodge Grand caravans. Recall F01. Here is a link. I had mine done two weeks ago, cost me nothing. My air conditioner was overheating.
