You may have a bad starter. if it tries to turn on a fully charged battery or jumpered, then your starter is bad. If it is sluggish and slow. If it just clicks once it is your starter. If it clicks many times it has something to do with the battery or loose connections to the starter.

If it's getting fire and fuel would suggest timing issue. Maybe check crank and cam sensors. Getting any check engine light?

How about the fuel pump...are you getting the fuel to the cylinders? Is the fuel making it through the fuel line through the fuel filter? Drop a few drops in 1 cylinder, if it fires, you have a fuel problem. Does it turn over? If not check out the motor starter!

96 T100 (3.4), will only run for 2-3 seconds then quit, change fuel filter, pump, cam sensor and crank sensor still won't run, but will run on ether. Where to go next?

What you are telling me is the engine is firing the plugs but not getting fuel.
When you changed the fuel pump and filter, did you check the fuel pressure at the rail ?
Are the injectors getting power and ground pulse ??

My 1996 850 volvo wont start the engine turns over but wont crank

ok, turning over and cranking are the same thing, what your saying is it won't fire, so , 2 things make a motor fire, electric and fuel, so starting with the easiest remedy , remove the distributor cap, and inspect the rotor and connection points that are inside the cap, check for any debris built up , sometimes you can clean them good enough to get the car to fire up, if it does , normally you would replace them , ( not that expensive) remove the number one cylinder spark plug, and once out put the spark plug wire back on it, ( your going to need help with this step) with insulated pliers , hold the plug and place the bottom of the plug against a grounding point (any bolt on the motor will do,, but try and keep it away from the carb as its Hopefully going to spark) have someone try and turn the car over as if to start it, look for spark at the end of the plug, if you have spark,, replace the plug and try and start the car , if it won't,, move onto the fuel problem, you need to make sure that the car is getting fuel, remove the fuel line to the carb turn the key for a second, you should see fuel splashing out, if yes ,, you should be able to start the car , if no,, check the fuel filter first , then the fuel pump,

My pathfinder will not start. It has a strong crank and a new battery what could it be

There are two reasons a vehicle that cranks well won't start, it is either not getting fuel or not getting fire to the spark plugs. You'll need to determine which and go from there. If no fuel, change the fuel filter or check that the fuel pump is running. There could be a number of reasons if there is no spark but we'll need more info to provide a solution.

Can hear engine crank, but will not turn over. i i had the battery, fuse box and, spark plugs checked and all of those are in good working order.

Sounds like you either:
  1. Not getting fuel to the injectors remove the fuel line at the fuel filter and place end in an old can while someone cranks the engine. If fuel is pumping change the fuel filter and reattach fuel line If it starts GREAT, if not try #2
  2. Have a weak spark so plugs are unable to fire. Check cable into and outof coil making sure there are no cracks and they seat firmly in the coil.
