2000 isuzu trooper jerking

which engine, ill toss coin, land on v6
check fuses first.
wont crank? that grrrrr grrrrr grrrrr sound
jumper cable start it yet, why not?
or put in a known good charged car battery?
or using any battery charger charge yours?
or buy a new battery, (if rich)

if it cranks and wont start?
check spark x6 (scan it yet?)
if sparks ok try test fuel!
if test fuel fails 100% see bad belt below.

EVER REPLACE THE CAM BELT?
if not and over 60k on the last one
the belt is doomed, living on borrowed time.
got the V6?

Check that ALL vacuum lines are connected, and properly.

valve guide seals could be bad or rings could be getting worn or could need tune up

Check your Back pressure valve. The hose on the top of the EGR runs to the backpressure valve loated on the firewall of your car. Also check the mass air flow sensor. There are plenty of times when the EGR code pops up that something else is wrong with that system

check for a vaccuum leak this is where i would start if it rolled into my shop. possibly a PCV valve sticking or a hole in the hose, this hose should run from the valve cover, or crank case and then to the intake, or carb.

Tighten the connecting rod cap nuts
Torque : 54 N·m (5.5 Kg·m/40 lb ft)

Hello, it is possible that the pump is going bad but, it sounds more like water in the fuel or a dirty filter or dirty injectors. I would try a fuel additive first to see if that will clear your problem. Let me know if you need any help. Good luck.

I also had the same problem with my 2000 trooper.... the problem is u are low on fluid..... the reason u are low because your tranmission is leaking ..... it doesn't take must

hi i have a isuzu trooper 3.0 td 2000 w plate when i go to start it in the morning the batteries are flat ill push it and jump start it park it up it will be ok all day long then but i go to start it in the morning same problem we put new injectors on new heater plugs new alternator had the battderies tested both are exelent batteries why is this could u please contact me on 07557105273

i have a 92 trooper with the same problem but i also feel it thru my pedal. after 3 master cylinders, abs brain and proportional valve i still have "soft" brake pedal and the truck sits in my driveway. doeas your brakes "give" or feel as if they will not stop your truck ?
