Yove a heater core leak,,,if smoke is coming in the vents its leaning towrads going out on you

  • Anonymous Jan 20, 2009

does it have a sweet smell to it at all? i think your heater core may have a lot to do with the problem i had a blue car that did that to me and it would put out a ton of smoke.to where i could not even see to drive down the road.i think it could be either the heater core OR the thermostat not opening all the way but either way you need to try to get it to a shop and have it fixed asap before anything really major goes wrong other than what already is wrong

92 buick park ave only blows heat through defrost

Sounds like you might have blown the BM unit. As far as the vent selection goes, I worked on a Buick LeSabre a few years ago with the same kind of trouble. There is a vacuum distribution block down under the glove compartment that directs the route air goes. It is notoriously trouble. In my case the block was poorly formed. Sometimes the vacuum connections on the block are plugged, sometimes they crack or break off. Unless you are a full blown Mr Fixit you just need to replace the block.
