I have a 2005 gmc yukon and when you start it on a cold day ( my cold days are usualy in the teens or lower) it bogs down and idles real rough almlst like its going to stall out, if you give it the gas and rev it up it runs just fine. ive never just let it go on its own to see what hapens so i usualy rev it around 2000 rpm untill it warms up and then its fine. i just dont know what it is, the only thing i could think it would be is if the fuel pump is craping out. any help would be great
Check the coolant temp. sensor (It controls warm up RPM, open loop ECU mode) And change the fuel filter every 20,000 miles to prevent water in filter from freezing ( fuel starvation).

you may have two oxugen sensors on your yukon. if so the oxygen sensor that controls that bank may be bad. from what you mentioned in your complaint, it sounds like it is the oxygen sensor.

Try replacing the ignition control module it is located under the distributor cap Cost is around $30.

Im not sure if you got it fixed yet! It could possibly be idle air control valve. But here some more suggestions! I had a 94 Safari van 4.3 liter I was working on for about three days and I finally figured out what was wrong with it. It would run fine for a couple minutes and as soon as I hit the gas and let off it would surge, but anyways I ended up changing the distributer, after the fuel pump and filter, mass air flow sensor, egr valve, idle air control valve, map sensor, and ignition module. So that might sove the problem if you were on the same track with it as I was. Hope this helps ya!

i now for a fact that it is the egr valve . carbon balls in side you have to take it of and clean them out
