Heater motor runs on high continuously on 1999 Chrysler 300M

Fan motor runs on high regardless of switch position. Climate control can be turned off and fan will continue on high. I've been told by dealer that its a replaceable ''resister type'' module which they had in stock but couldn't tell me where its located that I might replace it. Any ideas on where this is located and how to go about replacing it?

My 2002 chrysler 300 blower fan is stuck on high

Under the hood, in a plastic cover, you will find the relay/breaker center. The relay for blower motor high will be labeled, either next to the relay or under the cover. Your relay is stuck closed. Replace it.

I have a 1999 chrysler 300m. i run the diagnostic on the automatic temp. controll and get code 36 got that code to clear and now it shows code 23 can anyone tell what this is and who to fix it thanks

Hi,

Chysler HVAC code 23 = Front Mode (Blend) Door - Range too Large.

Possible causes:

- Actuator circuit test faults preset
- Overcurrent faults present
- Mode door or A/C Heater housing components warped, worn, damaged or broken.
- Mode door actuator
- A/C Heater Control (ATC)

Blower motor will not shut off on my 1999 chrysler 300m

On MANUAL if it does not shut off, it could easily be the multi position switch. Replace it and you should be okay. If the continuity on the switch checks out though, it could be in the Automated climate control . OUCH!

I have 2 issues with my '99 300M climate control - the temp display is off most of time but occasionally comes on, and in the last few days the fan has been stuck at full on. The temp will still change if...

no ,the climate control assembly has a problem of shorting out to black, sometimes a good hit brings it back for awhile.the blower motor problem is the blower motor resistor,if you under the dash, behind the glove box you will find the blower motor, follow the motor wire about 10 inches away from motor and they plug into the faulty resistor.

this problem is caused by the blower motor speed control resistor being defective, it is located next to the blower motor.

Location of the blower motor control module

The module is located in the ducting for the heater and is accessed from the passenger area of the front seat. I think it is just under the dash but you may have to remove the glove box. it is a rectangular item held in with four screws. and should have two connectors going to it. You have to be sure to get the right replacement if you r replacing it.
thanks.
