I don't know what the date was when you inquired. But, if you drive it will be o.k. as long as there was no fluid loss. You will just have to overcome the stiff steering. If you lost all of your fluid you will seize the pump and then it will throw the belt and you will be walking because your water pump will cease to turn and the engine will over heat.

How do you loosen the serpentine belt on a 1997 wrangler TJ?

loosen the bolts that hold the power steering pump to the bracket, then turn the transverse bolt under the pump to adjust tension.

How do i replace serpentine belt on 1997 jeep wrangler

Adjustment is made by loosening the power steering pump. There is a transverse long bolt (jack bolt) right under the pump that is used for adjustment.

Where is the belt tensioner on a 1997 jeep wrangler

Likely a similar arrangement as the cherokee, especially if it's a 4.0... Loosen the pivot bolts on the power steering pump. Under the pump is a "jack screw" that adjusts the pump position and tightens the drivebelt.. Access to the screw head is either towards the fender or towards the block (bolt runs transverse). Some later versions use an idler under the pump that works the same way.

Jeep wrangler Fuse box

You have two locations for the fuse box. One is either under the hood or behind the glove box. I would pull apart the glove box and take a look.
