Clicking noise when doors are open under the glove box.

When I open the doors on my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee there is a clicking noise coming from under the glove box. When the doors are shut all is fine. Also, the main LED display that shows the time and date next to the shifter does not light up. All of this happened at the same time. Any idea of what is going on? I would really appreciate it.
Thank you,
Doug

Intermittent thumping noise from behind the glove box - 2-3 mainly at start up but sometimes randomly 2, 3, 5 times, sometimes not at all. The other day it happened several times, on & off, in a very short period of time.

I purchased a new relay first aswell thinking that it was just that but it was indeed the fuse in the 8 slot a 15amp that fixed it. I pushed the dome light to far in oneday (1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited) it must have short curcuited somehow it was making it so i couldnt lock the doors when any doors where open and it would cut the radio out completely when the doors where open. All good now.

Sounds like a relay.
Get into the relays and open the door.
Put your finger tip on each one in turn until you feel the clicking through your finger.
You cannot get a shock from this.
Remove the relay and put it back in.
If it keeps doing it, then buy a new one.
You cannot put it back in the wrong way because the pins only go in one way.
Good luck

1994 jeep grand cherokee laredo electrical problem

I believe it's one of your relays too. There are a few relays under the glove box. If you can determine which one is clicking you can change it out and possibly solve your problem. Good luck...

Where is the horn relay located on a 95 jeep grand cherokee?

On my 95 Jeep Cherokee Laredo, the horn relay is in a compartment under the glove box. Open the glove box and remove the three screws in the front on the bottom. Take the plastic cover out and you'll see a bank of relays. The horn relay is the one on the far left, closest to you.
