The battery is disconected and the release lever dose not operate the bonet
You need to pull the C3 fuse and insert a wire and then put the fuse back in.
connect the neg ground to the metal steering column and the positive to the wire. close the car door and turn the door key on and off three times. open the door and now the hood latch will work.
I have a 1999 996 porsche opened the hood.not all porsche have a picture,if not.but power to the"c3" fuze in the fuze box with drivers door open an key in door.thealarm will sound turn key in door to unlock than open hood.
I second carlo
Best bet is going into frt right head light make hooke out of hanger and inbetween headlight and bumper twards the hood look for safty cable and pull on it , or jack frt right , remove wheel , remove frt part of inner fender cover right side and behind head light there should be the cable , pull on it
My porsche boxter had a disconected battery & the front hood/bonet pull would not opperate to allow me to reattatch the battery.
I fixed the problem by undoing three 5mm alan bolts that attahed the bonet & boot release cables to the chassis . just undo alan bolts, three or four turns and the unit slides upward at the back of the unit there is a pull cable to unlock the cables pull back and the bonet & boot cables can be operated
if you have a later model just pull the fuse box cover off & ther is a red tab to pull off, where u can conect a jump start pack red to the terminal red to the terminal black to earth ie door hinge.
if your battery is just flat conect power through cigar lighter.
