Why do think the key security is bad? If you still have a factory key, this is not the problem...if no factory key, you can take your VIN number or original key to GM dealer to get new key that they will program for you...Check for dirty battery connections:)

I sounds like you have a fuel flow problem. Replace the in-line fuel filer located in the fuel line in front of the rear tire. Check out this web site for "how to" replace the in-line fuel filter.

did you swap to a different engine than the original or stay with the original? the 03 impala had two different options...the 3.8 and the 3.4. each engine setup is slightly different

As with any no start issue, someone will have to figure out if you are dealing with a no spark or no fuel problem to proceed.
If you have to rely on a shop they may have to keep the car for a few days to track down the problem.

This may be a passlock issue.Try this procedure to see if it will reset your passlock.
PASSKEY LOCKOUT RESET ALL GM CARS 1999 AND UP
1) Put the key in the ignition and turn to the "ON" position. Leave it that way for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes turn the key and take it out. Repeat this process (2) more times (3 times, 30 minutes total) This should reset the PASSKEY system to recognize your key.

Try a new fuel filter,and if this does not help,have the fuel pressure tested,to see if the fuel pump is failing.

sounds like a throttle sensor fault do to the fact that the saturn vue doesnt idle at 500 normally its uaually between 600-800. i suggest getting it hooked to a diagnostic machine to find wat the codes are cause im sure it will be several.

Check all fuses and relays. As far as the gas gauge, you may need a new fuel pump, fuel pump relay, or the float on the fuel pump is loose or came off from ear and tear.The mirrors: check the fuses; also, check, or have the button panel in the door checked to ensure the connection are secure. May need a new switch for the mirrors. I am not familiar with this vehicle; but this is what I suggest doing to solve the issues.

check all the ground cables and wires.make sure that the ground cable going to the engine is clean and tight.
