Some times my speedometer doesn't go back to 0 when i stop

The speedometer will stick at whatever speed i was traveling then when i stop. then when i take off it will show the wrong speed. it will keep doing that until the speedometer reads well above the maximum speed on the guage. eventually it will go back down on its own, but it can take days of driving with no speedometer before this happens.

My 2003 Saturn Vue died as i was pulling up to a stop got it started again but speedometer isn't working now

If your 2003 Saturn Vue died as you were pulling up to a stop and the speedometer isn't working now, it's possible that there may be an issue with the vehicle speed sensor or the instrument cluster.
The vehicle speed sensor is a small electronic device that is located on the transmission or transaxle. It sends a signal to the vehicle's computer to tell it how fast the vehicle is traveling. If the vehicle speed sensor is not working properly, the speedometer may not work correctly or at all.
On the other hand, if the instrument cluster is malfunctioning, it could cause the speedometer to stop working. If the instrument cluster has a loose connection or a blown fuse, this could also cause the speedometer to stop working.
It's best to have your vehicle checked by a certified mechanic who can diagnose the issue and recommend the necessary repairs. They will be able to test the vehicle speed sensor and instrument cluster to determine the root cause of the problem.

2002 mercury mountaineer speedometer not working. When you start it speedometer goes to 50mph regardless of what speed you traveling. Then when you turn it off it goes to 30 then slowly return to 0.

Any warning lights lit on the insturment cluster ? ABS
Vehicle Speed Signal
The vehicle speed signal is generated by the rear anti-lock brake sensor and sent to the 4-wheel anti-lock brake system (4WABS) module. The 4WABS module sends the vehicle speed signal via circuit 679 (GY/BK) to all systems which require a vehicle speed signal input.
Speedometer
The electronic speedometer receives a speed signal from the 4WABS module.

Take it to a qualified repair shop .

Google year & make of car for fuse panel fuse diagram. Do the fuse trick you did. If you notice any corrosion or caked gunk on fuse legs...replace fuse....If problem persists it's probably the VSS Vehicle Speed Sensor which gives the vehicle speed to the speedometer.

I am no Honda expert, but a similar problem happened to my ex sister in-laws Ford Taurus. The speed odometer would jump around and it had trouble shifting (automatic transmission). After driving it I changed out the speed odometer sensor on the transmission and it's been fine ever since. I changed out the sensor because if the cars computer cannot tell how fast the car is traveling then fail safes in place go into effect and the computer will do it's best to keep the cars rpm's down based on the speed indicator and not let it shift or shift properly either. If it's getting false speeds then it will shut down the motor when the speed gets to high and allow it to run as the speeds fall (jumping speed odometer needle). It effects the transmission shift points also. It will either shift erratically or not shift out of say 2nd gear, so that the cars engine can't get damaged based on what signal the speed sensor is sending the computer.

Speedometer doesn't work and it doesn't change gears right

vehicle speed sensor on the transmission, it fails and the speedometer will not work, it could affect shifting because the computer does not know the speed you are traveling

I have a 99 f350 powerstroke and the speedometer is staying on 40

Have your alternator checked. I had a Lincoln that had the odometer and speedometer recording at a stop. Turns out it was stray voltage from alternator traveling through my chassis.
