Heatter not working when sitting.

I have 05 Jeep Liberty (2WD). When I'm the heater blows out heat just fine. BUt if I'm sitting still, e.g. at a stop light or in traffic All i get is cold air. Is this a thermostat problem or is it time for a radiator flush and fill?

Certainly a flush & fill would help, but if your going that far, you might as well have thermostat done too, as it doesn't appear to be your problem at this point, but why take the chance of it being a problem later. Make sure you ask them to be sure to reverse flush the heater core, it works better at dislodging anything that is clogging it up.

2008 Jeep Liberty-My heater was barely warm-blowing fine tho. Was told I had a plugged heater core and needed a new one. Had a new heater core put in and then my air conditioner stopped blowing cold air....

I woild be checking the vent controls as if the ac is working and the core was blocked then the air would be cool when the heat was selected but not changing Fixing the heater has resulted in a /c not being good enough to cool the air if the vent is not properly selecting. The point is that if the vent selection is not working properly (vacuum hoses) then the 2 faults will be related.

05 Jeep Liberty.. change the electric fan because it wasn't coming on. Fixed the problem for about 7 months. Now it over heats mostly while sitting in traffic.. Get out. move the wire harness con

could be relay but I'm thinking your lines are exposed somewhere between relay and fan and they are shoting out. Thats why it works when you move them. Youi could always electrical tape them (full length) and see if that works. Hope this helps

My 2002 jeep liberty 3.7L the heater stop blowing it was working on the number 4 setting now it dont work at all. no heat

this sounds like the heater motor resistor has gone bad and needs replacing.this controls the amount of voltage that goes to the blower motor to give you the different speeds.if it was the blower motor it wouldn`t have worked on #4 setting before stopping.this us located in the air box as it uses the air flow from the motor to help keep it from getting too hot, usually in the area of the motor and has about 5wires connected to it.

My 2005 Jeep Liberty will not blow heat through heater ducts. Fan works fine but blows only cold air. Any idea what the problem is?

heater valve if you have 1 ,or temp control actuator which is under the dash and takes hours to replace!

02 Liberty having cold flashes!

1st check the coolant level. If it's low, it won't circulate thru heater core, and result is little or no heat. Let me know what u find, we can continue.
