SOURCE: 2003 bmw 325i keys does not unlock and the door

insert the key into the drivers side or passender side front door, twist the key and pull open on the handle at the same time and the door will open. It might take a few times to get it, but this does work, source BMW AG Munich.

SOURCE: 2001 BMW 325i - Key no longer unlocking doors.

if you have a bmw 325i 2001 model try this solution:
if you have one key , go on to the next step. if you have more than one key, like two or more than follow this procedure.

step one: unlock the doors with your key and get in and close the doors but do not lock them
step two: put your key into the ignition and turn it but not to start the engine, do this less than 5 seconds

step three: take the key out of the ignition and put it near the shifter. press and hold the unlock button while pressing the lock button 3 times. you have 30 seconds to do this. the doors should lock and unlock automatically signalling that it the key has been reprogrammed. if you have more than one key follow those steps for each one except for step one. remmember you have only 30 seconds for each key. that should help you.

WHY DOESNT MY DOORS DOESNT UNLOCK/LOCK USING THE REMOTE ON A 2006 BMW 3251

Hi
either the battery is u/s..or it needs reprogramming, i would do both anyway, just change battery in the key, then ( if you google how to re-program a 325i key) there is a sequence you do to program it to your car and it is relativley easy as i have done it to my 325i
hope this helps.

I changed the key batteries for my 1999 BMW 323i after they died. Afterwards the remote unlock and lock won't work, the car also won't start but it can turn over/on and the radio and the lights...

stick the key in the ignition, turn it to the on position, remove it within 5 seconds, then hold the unlock button down and press the lock button 3 times within 10 seconds and release both buttons. The doors should lock/unlock to give you confirmation and your key should work.

How to program a previously used bmw keyless remote for a different 2006 bmw 325i

1) Get in and close all doors.
2) Turn on the ingition and turn off quickly. (No more than 5 seconds) to start the process. Next action must take place within 30 seconds.
3) Remove the 1st key.
4) Hold the key up near your left shoulder (this is so it is closer to the remote reciever antenna - someone else suggested this).
5) Hold down the unlock button (which is button 1 on my key) and press the lock button 3 times (center button on my key). Release the unlock button and the doors lock which confirms the operation.
6) Quickly repeat steps 4 & 5 for key #2 etc.
If it does not work, try doing the keys in opposite order. Key 2 then key1, vs 1 then 2

2006 BMW 323i Passnger Door lock will not lock / unlock w/ remote

Replace fuse 57 (15 amp) then disconnect battery and wait 30 to 45 minutes before reconnecting the battery.

My 2006 BMW 325I had the same problem with the door locks not responding. I checked all related fuses and found #57 (15 amp) was the only related fuse blown. I put in a new fuse and it still would not work. I then disconnected the battery for a while then once I reconnected the battery everything worked fine.

I believe I blew the fuse while repeatedly pushing the unlock button rapidly while walking across the parking lock to the car. I suggest only pushing the unlock button only once or twice.

2006 bmw 325i remote only unlocks driverside door. will not unlock all doors when you lock it from the inside. have to use key in remote to open door. also central button to unlock doors is inop

fuse 56 and 57 control central locking, the issue is caused by surges typically in the front door lock actuators, normally at a dealer they would replace fuse 56 and 57 with a 20a mini fuse and if still occuring repl the door lock(s) that dont work or typically both front, first replace fuse 56 and 57 with 20a fuses as were too small from factory and than operate ten to 15 times, if it doesnt work at first dont panic, let the car go to sleep which takes about 16 min and than try again this problem has nothing to do with the key fob or the lock unlock button inside, also the fuses are located behind the glove box just rere the access panel and they are found at lower left section
