Check the fuses in the fuse box under the hood. This happened to me once, my engine would turn over but would not start. It was a blown 10 amp fuse labeled pcm b. hope this helps

No acceleration gas pedal

Sorry to say, sounds as if you had cables hooked up backwards, or possibly just had very poor connection between battery and battery cable terminal. If you may have had jumper cables connected backwards, you may have fried some electrical component. Get someone to read the codes which are making the check engine light come on, and perhaps this will give a clue as to what component is blown. Could have damaged anything from a small sensor to the main computer, in which case I would check with salvage yard for a used unit. The main computer is quite pricey.

Saturn jumper cables hooked up backwards

Try charging the battery more. Even though your lights may come one, starting a vehicle requires massive amounts of amperage from the batter. It's possible that your jumper cables aren't a thick enough guage to supply enough power as well. Sometimes the vehicle you're jumping from might not have enough power to support your vehicle's starting power requirements.

Car starts off jumper cables

First-- the negative cable from the charging vehicle ,
does NOT go to your battery,it goes to the engine block

Only the positive cable goes to the vehicle being jumped

You will have a large 100 amp fuse or fusible link, that may look like a fuse or a hidden buss bar

You will need a wiring diagram to find a test point or place to open
things up
You may have fried several feature, once you get it to start & is drivable

Hooked up jumper cables backwards .fried main fuse replaced it everything comes on but when i turn ignition switch nothing happens no power drain no clicking starter does not turn over what other comp

The short answer is no. The PCM would not control the starter.
I would look for more fuses or fuseable link wires. There should be more than one major fused circuit.
If the key switch was on when you connected the jumper cables anything that was "on" would have been cooked, including the ignition switch.
is the battery good enough to crank the engine ?

The cart wont click over dont know anything bout cars so i need to find out if my starter or my alternator went out and sure my battery i need a new one because the car used to click over till we hooked up...

First if the jumper cables were hooked up backwards you could have killed your battery, which was probably dead to begin with. Get a new one then try and start. If it doesnt look more into the ignition switch than the starter. Alternator has nothing to do with starting, it could be bad and not charging the battery but will not cause your car not to start.
