Was goin to work started jeep it started up the hearter was not working so i turned off the jeep to restart and then it would not even crank over what can this be?
Probably a frozen block from insufficient radiator fluid concentration. Try that then test the battery, the starter and check all fuses somewhere in there you should get it going.

No it won't start if you take the security system out . Because you can't take the software out that's programmed into the PCM/ BCM ! If the PCM - engine computer does not see a key code (pass word ) It will not start the car. Besides that , hooking up the battery backwards probably did more damage then that . Fried computers etc... I have see this more then once , the vehicle's never did work right again . Damaged instrument clusters , charging systems , ignition modules etc...
Roll the key ford to acc not started just forward so radio comes onand leave this way for 5 min til security light goes away turn off atempt to start. May die instantly. Just turn off again and restart. Works for my camaro. Or turn key to acc. Then back to off and repeat. This step usually 25 -50 times and it may resrt system. Youll hear a bit off clicking if it works.
It sounds like a bad starter solenoid/starter, because a starter sits so close to a engine and exhaust that over the years the heat starts breaking down the components and when you drive your Jeep the starter solenoid gets "heat soaked" so when you've been driving your Jeep around for awhile and then turn it off the solenoid is "heat soaked", it needs to cool off before it will engage the starter again. Sometimes it can take up to a few hours to work again. Some people hit the starter w(the engine off) with a hammer to try to free it up.
The solution is to replace the starter with a new one and your Jeep will start up every time. Most starters come with a new solenoid already attached so it's best to replace them both.
Try locking and unlocking the drivers door using the key. Usually that will re-set the security system. Also try the rear hatch lock as sometimes that is used instead of driver door.
Hard to guess, but the best idea I can come up with is that the regulator in the alternator malfunctioned, and you were getting wide variations in voltage throughout the whole system.
Once reset, if it seems to be normal, I would not worry.
If you want to check, get a voltmeter and check alternator output.
thank you very much was just a fuse blown in engine fuse box
