Defroster blowing snow inside car

No matter high or low i figured i would do right heating the car first so i started it and 10 mins later i had a 1/4 of an inch of snow in my car i thought this was kinda funny but seriously had to scrape my windshield on the inside till i got home any sugestions? help plz

Tony, 2005 Jeep Liberty. Heater only blows warm air when revved over 3, and now snow is blowing in thru the defroster/vents. Help!

Hey, I got it fixed! I was almost out of antifreeze, but the radiator was stained and made it look full and frozen. I went and had it flushed out and everything is as good as new, except for finding the slow leak in one of the hoses. Thermostat was fine, and we've got kickin' hot air. Yea! But there's still the mystery of the snow blowing inside........

Has someone removed the cabin filter. They are usually located under the hood underneath the windshield wipers. check for cabin filter then proceed with other troubleshooting :)

Not really a solution but, check that blend door in heater box is operating and that a/c drain hose is not plugged. (if there is ice in there, it may take a while to clear it out)

Heater doesn t blow out any heat or air

If it is not blowing at all your problem is with the fan. It is mounted up under the passenger side. Typically about 6 screws hold on the cover and the fan is right under it. Pretty easy fix. When the fan is out I would test it first....after thought here...did you check the fuses?

2003 toyota celica vvtli 190bhp heater blowing col dair only and engine over heating. no signs of leaks oil clean, coolant resivour just above min any ideas whats broken cheers

If it is blowing cold air, that means the coolant level is low, the heater core has no coolant in it. Sounds like a head gasket is leaking.

What would make heat and air blower motor only run slow on every speed switch no matter low or high 1991 ford mustang

If not the switch, you need to check vacuum lines near the firewall inside the engine compartment and under the dash. Just in case. I had problems with mine blowing only through the defrost because of a broke vacuum line. Good luck

1996 Ford Thunderbird LX - AC/Heating A few months back I had my AC recharged (At the time my heating still worked) and it worked fine for awhile, but about a month after that I would turn the defrost on...

hi ,look under your dash near the blower and find a 4 or 5 wire plug going in near the blower,unplug it and remove the screws holding it in place ,pull it out ,it will be about half a cigarette packet in size when youve got it out in your hand ,this is most likely your problem part ,its a heater resistor ,it controls your fan speeds,it should be a white chalky resistor or an alloy heat sink type ,they come in 2 ways as i've stated,phone a ford specialist junkyard or auto wrecker or a new ford dealer and give them the part number it has on it and your thunderbird specs or ID numbers and you should be able to locate a replacement without too much bother .

I'm afraid you have the deluxe system,my friend. It has 2 electronic circuit boards that may be going bad. Very expensive unless you can find used or aftermarket.
I hope it's just the blower motor, but I had the other thing happen and I had to wire around it,losing my AUTO temp and blower control. don-ohio

Never overheated (and still not certain I did) BUT Sat nite(Feb 6 2010) after a run about 20 miles the 2001 venture started to loose ground like it was runnning outta gas. HAd plenty. It was -10 C outside,...

One of your intake manifold gaskets went bad and it is sucking in air where it should'nt be. This problem is very common on this motor. I'm 100% sure that is what it is. But no ofense if you can't figure out how to get your radiator cap off , then this job is probably a little much for you.

Heater/Fan

Hi,
I think you're right that it is the blower fan. It could be a bad connection on it - that will work when it's hot enough to dry it out, or it may be worn out or sticky.
It needs investigating anyway.

You could first try putting 12V across it to see if it is an electrical issue, or rotating it by hand when cool to see if it is siezing.

Sometimes replacement is needed, but could also be just a bad connection.
