Fan heater blower not working, car all steamed up and cold etc. Checked fuses but all ok, suspect relay but not sure where the location is. Maybe fan has had its days but want to rule out relay first! Can anyone help.

Check the voltage at the motor connector. Easiest to start there. Could be a faulty motor (most likely part). divide in half to troubleshoot.. My money would be on the motor though.

SOURCE: Volvo 850 heater blower

As you can read in the first response that is most likely the problem..as long as you're gonna be doing all the labor, if you can afford it replace both the resistor and motor at he same time if you plan on keeping the car.

SOURCE: neither turn signal work on 1999 volvo s80, fuses are ok,

Remove the fuse that is labeled "SWM" in the fuse box, then re-install it. This should fix your problem. Have the software updated by a Volvo dealer to prevent this in the future.

SOURCE: Hot and Cold no Blow

Most likely it will be the blower. Check to see if there is power to it, and then ground it. If it runs, the blower speed control is likely bad. If not it will be the blower motor.

Heater fan does not get power.

There are two fuses for the blower. One for the relay coil and the other for the relay power. One is a 5a in the interior fuse box. The other is a 40a in the engine compartment fuse box.

Ac/defrost/heater/blower fan doesn't run

Cars with "automatic" HVAC have an electronic controller for the fan. It will be located on the engine side of the duct work down stream from the blower motor.... there will probably be two connectors going to it.

Heater fan don't work, don't know which fuse operates heater fan

Hi!!
Look in engine compartment close to battery for fuse box, remove cover and inside cover there is a diagram of fuse/relay locations.
You are looking for a fuse and relay, it should say blower fan or AC blower fan. First check fuse, if Fuse is ok. check Relay.
Good Luck!! Don't forget to rate this post!!

No heater or A/C blower

Did you check fuses located on battery?
Possible causes , fan itself , but it would have nothing to do with overheating.
Fan resistor (final stage controller) , not for overheating either.
And the most common on this cars is radiator fan control module , basicly a few relays in one.
You can check fuses by yourself but for the rest of it probably mechanic shop is preferable.

you could have a bad relay. Try googling the location of the blower relay in your particular make and model.

Ac blower motor

Check fuse supplying fan is not blown,
Check blower control switch is operating OK,
Check relay controlling fan is operating OK,
Check variable speed resistor pack is not faulty (the resistor pack is usually located in the blower ducting, in the blower airflow),
Check blower motor ground connection is not missing.

Heater fan not working in 05 Chevy Equinox

I suspect you also checked the fuses, some vehicles are double protected, especially since you usually have to remove the entire dash panel to get to the heater fan blower motor. It should be in the middle or under the glove box, should be located in a plastic box that has like a bell shape to where the motor is. check fuses then check wiring, and make absolutely certain the relay was the correct one that you changed, in a 3 year old vehicle the fan motor should not be bad yet.
