My transmission fault message is coming on and it does not want to accelerate fast. do you have any answers? My Jaguar is a xj8 1997 model

A small leak over period time will cause fault light (amber) to come on. There is no dipstick. Can only be refilled by dealer or certified Jag Mechanic. Cost of fluid at dealer $60. Quart. Check online; $15 quart

check the grounds to the ECM mate you got a ground fault going to it

How do you fix a faulty egr valve

I HAVE A 99 JAGUAR XJ8 ....I HAVE CHANGED THE BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR, BUT STILL WON'T START. SHOULD I CHANGE THE PLUGS NEXT OR THE STARTER. IT HAS 110,000 MILES. PLEASE OFFER SOME INSIGHT ON THIS SITUATION.

2002 x type jaguar transmission fault light showing car won t start

Could be an A/C problem. Please have the car in to a certified Jaguar re[air place or the Jaguar dealership.
Have you checked to see if the A/C compressor wheel spins?

i have 2002 XJR shift good just Drive then no more change stack with first i try to do with #1and 2 or 3 still same

1999 Jaguar XJ8L repair manual

It's a very simple job.
Disconnect battery.
Disconnect electrical connector to MAF sensor.
Remove (unbolt) MAF from air duct.
Install new MAF.
Reconnect electrical connector.
Reconnect battery.
Finished!

Hi Darrin

Try disconnecting the battery + & - terminals.

Turn the ignition key several times to erase the computers memory.

Reconect the battery + terminal then - and start the car.

Your fault code, will hopefully not return.
