Milky solution on bottom of oil cap and dip stick

Check there's no water in the oil and the oil is not milky under the oil filler cap and dip stick if it is your head gasket has blown

You need to run a compression check on the cylinders and see if you have a head gasket leaking or an intake gasket leak. Milky look to the dipstick can only mean one thing and that is water in the oil and maybe the leak is just starting. It might be condensate but if it is it is not normal. If you don't find a problem I would check regular to make sure it is not getting worse.

maybe the engine needs a good run to burn off the moisture in the oil

The problem you have is a cracked block. This allows water to get into your oil, and that causes the milky appearance. As you might imagine, this is not a good thing. You can try the block seal, but, there are no guarantees. Good luck. Oh, and by the way, it has nothing to do with the dip stick, just the water and oil failing to mix.

• Sounds to me like the antifreeze needs flushed. The say it's good for 100,000 miles but my experience is 75,000 miles max. When Dexcool gets old it turns a brownish tinge.

• Now you want to make sure to pull the oil dip stick and make sure it does not look like chocolate mile. If it does then you have a cracked head or head gasket.

• This can also be a little dirt/rust in the system. If the oil on the dip stick looks normal the flush your coolant.

this is sounding like you might have a blown head gasket. you can check for this in a few ways the simplist first. pull the oil filler cap off of the valve cover and check for a milky white or cream color residue on the underside of the cap. pull the oil dip stick and check for abnormally high oil level on the stick.you can also look in the overflow bottle to see if there are air bubbles being manufactured in the fluid. the surest way to tell what is going on is to do a compression test on the motor this will tell you exactly where the head gasket has been blown. not good nes im afraid this kind of repair will cost several hundred dollars.

sounds like the oil is not curculating through engine. it may have a clog in the oil passage way, or there is a problem with the oil pump in oil pan on bottom of transmission.

Known issues or not,It sounds like the head gasket is blown,or it has a cracked head.If it was water it would be thick and light grey in color on the dip stick,But yellow indicates antifreeze leak that has not had time to mix with the oil.
