Is there a diagnostic code "reader" on the Mazda MPV 1993?

Trying to get a code on my Mazda MPV 1993 for troubleshooting the start-stall situation that started at -25%. Where on the car can I get the code read-out.
I put in STP fuel treatment. Warmed up the oil pan, and the car started the start-stall. The engine ran smooth for those brief 4 second runs. (The car had enough anti-freeze to go down to -40, so no cracked block and reduced compression.) I changed the old fuel filter, and then the car started running and idleing for up to five minute before cutting out, and never gave power to the wheels. Next day, once again the start and 4 second stall began again. I put in 5 more gallons of fresh fuel with Napa fuel treatment, but no change. I can hear the fuel pump sound while the key is "on". Ideas, please!

I am having a similar problem and my mechanic thinks it's a fuel regulator. Part was ordered and it's being replaced this week. We'll see. Unrelated, I'm/we're having a heck of a time finding an oil pan...mine is very blistered....but it is 17 years old.

Possible loose air inlet boot off the air cleaner to the throttle body. Try taking it to a local Checker, Autozone or O'Rielys for a code pull which may give you a better idea of what is going on.

Engine light is on and the engine is sputtering, feels like its going to stall

the engine light comes on when the computer system detects a problem. you need to retrieve the code with a code reader and then follow a flow chart for that code to find the necessary repair.Depending on you skill level, this job is better left to a pro

Car stalls changed spark plugs still wont start

Not a lot to go on! Remove the distributor cap and see if turns when the engine is cranked. My guess is the timing belt is shot. Frankster016
