when the engine does restart it has no hesitation. when it does start it is quick and responsive. i can drive it for while then it just stalls and wont start. Like I said I can come back in ten minutes and it will start up like nothing ever happened driving with no issues. The next day i could drive 5miles then it will just stop dead. It always wants to turn over but wont start. I have sprayed either into carb. and it does start. but quits. The fuel pump is brand new. the cam sensor is brand new i replaced it because that is what code showed up on scan . AHHHHHH!!!!!

I think it's your valves. I had an old Chevy that did that and it turned out to be valves. Good luck

How about replacing the coil - might have a thermal issue and shut down when it gets hot.

Chevy Trucks, Blazers, S10 pickup and the like will vapor lock ecspecially the 2000 models. Do not tighten the gas cap past 1 click. There is a tube that runs from the top of the tank down and this gets hot and collapses or burns in half. We just bought a reinforced rubber tube cut it to lengh and use it instead of part and it's worked grat for 2 years so far.

SOURCE: hesitates on acceleration

Does the car always hesitate during acceleration? If it ALWAYS struggles when it starts or ALWAYS hesitates on acceleration then I would say the issue is fuel delivery. If the problems are more intermittent and come-and-go then it could be an electrical issue.

I would start by changing the fuel filter. Changing plugs, wires, cap, and rotor are all good things to do as your budget will allow. I doubt you will have to change your injectors.

If you end up replacing any rubber fuel line, be sure to use the high-pressure stuff made for use on fuel injected cars.

I hope this helps! -Nick

Sounds like dirty gas and the fuel filter is clogged...try changing the fuel filter...some are under the car, but most are mounted against the firewall in the engine compartment.

hot or cold engine , or both.?
the oil pressure will be in direct ratio to engine rpm. slow low, fast high
due to the oil pump connection to engine crankshaft.

stalls.: can be caused by 50 things, or just 4 in physics.
the EGR valve (if you have one, no engine stated)
can stick open and stall any engine, and in fact LOVES to. clean it.
1: list 12vdc to EFI. (spark and fuel brain) dash lights dim?
2: lost compression hot, ? compression tests.
3: lost spark, do spark tests. and timing, checks.
4: bad fueling, too much if floods, and misfires and stalls.
too little fuel, it starves and dies.

the 1 free test, is can you save the stall with a fast right foot.

we do the tests. avoiding those 50 guesses....
each tests are simple and the tools dirt cheap .

It would go between starter and the block. It may have been
discarded earlier and would solve the problem.

Check the electronics in the distributor. Chevs are notorious for the electronics going bad inside of the distributor.

Will start up run for awhile then stall and wont restart

Hello, I would start with a general tune up. Spark plugs and wires, Fuel Filter, Oil Change and Filter Change, Air Filter Change, Some injector cleaner would not hurt eirther. Be sure to lubricate your high mileage car and also use a farily good oil for your motor as well. The run for awhile problem sounds like bad spark plugs. I would change your spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, and rotarty button.
