Is the electric seat option prewired in my non electric seat s10 truck in 2004?

I purchased a leather seat interior from a wrecked 2004 s10 crew cab. I will install the seats in my 2004 non electric s10 truck. These seats I purchased are electric, lumbar, and heated. Is the wiring under the carpet for this upgrade? Or will I have to wire this option? I cut the wiring connector from the salvaged truck just in case.

How to Clean Auto Leather

I use Griot's Garage leather care products and have been very pleased with the results. Thy have a leather care spray that will clean light dirt, but very dirty leather may require an interior cleaner that is PH blanced so it does not dry the leather out. Then after the leather is clean, allow it to warm in the sun and apply leather care, leather 3 in 1 or leather rejuvenator, all excellent products, that will sink into the leather and keep it supple and prevent cracking. I would not use shoe cleaner as that leather is dyed differently and may be too harsh for fine leather as is used on vehicle seats. Also keep in mind that in most vehicles, only the leather "seating surfaces" are actually leather, the rest is matching vinyl so be sure to test anything you use on a non-visible spot first.

As for repairs, there are kits available to repair holes and rips. Many are simple and require a small patch behind the leather and the placing of a color matched "goo" on top of the patch and pressing of a grained paper over the goo to resemble the leather graining, so it looks similar when dried.

Best of luck.

Wiring for trailer lights

There is usually a Kit in a plastic package that comes with the truck. You may find the kit in the Jack sleeve under the Passengers front or rear seat. This Kit can have additional Flashers that go under the hood in a relay box, and a wiring "Stub" for Electric brake controls. They fit multiple applications.

My 1999 had a connector under the dash for Electric brakes if you are going to use them. You can check for a wiring loom under the rear frame of the truck, most come prewired. If you are going to need to add the actual plug-in, the newer Ford products have a dual fixture plug which can take anything.

Tractor Supply is good for aftermarket trailer accessories and if you want Factory parts and need wiring too there are bigger kits at the Dealer. The correct gauge wire is important.

Ideally, you could find a truck in a Salvage Yard, wrecked in the front or bad engine, with the bed missing. Then it would be easy pickings to strip the frame. Really would not matter if it was a Crew cab as you can bundle the slack.

Look under your truck for extra wiring, you may just need the Plug.

2003 F250 has non operating electric compass and temperature OAT above windshield in center of cab interior.

This is a very common problem with many of the mid 2000 Ford truck and SUV overhead consoles. The console is very prone to internal failure. I offer a reasonable repair service with a lifetime guarantee, check it out: www.autoclockrepair.com
There is a bunch of useful info there. Drop me an email if you have questions, thanks!

Need to move front passenger seat much further back

the only way to do this is to take the seat out remove it from the rails take the rails to a machine shop and have them weld on extensions for the seat to slide on. you will also have to remove the rear seat stop so it will go further back and have them make catches in the extension for the seat to catch onto.

Bucket seats with driver 1 and 2 memory and also seat warmer oh and the seat warmer does not work ever since.

Hi I'm not to clued up on 2004 silverado 1500 LT crew cab, obviously you'll check the fuse box & even replace the fuse wouldn't hurt giving it a try. Also try checking the electric motor for the seat. No cables lose or broken? Nothing jamming the seat? Is there any sound at all coming from the area where all the electrics are under the seat? Can you hear a motor straining?Just a few thoughts. Good luck

Eighth generation galant 1996-2006
2001 and 2004 should have same body interior specs

take one front seat out and if the bolt holes dont line up
you save yourself a lot of time and trouble

not many DIY car owners willing to muck around
to do interior swaps
