Went to Auto Zone and got the codes listed: B0455 ABS Steering Wheel Angle Sensor Performance History B0244 Pulse width modulation delivered torque malfunction history What does this mean and what should we do? The rear end seems to grab when we take off from a stopped position or when turning left or right and also there is a moaning noise coming possible from the steering.

You don't have the ability to do but one thing

That is have a repair shop daignose & component
test according to codes using specail tools & skills

You have steering sensor,abs braking & traction or
mechanical issues,three problems maybe & only
2 that maybe be tied together

2005 buick rainier abs light stays on. Just put new brakes and rotors. How do i het this off.

If the ABS light is on it means the ABS system has detected a fault.
If the light comes on when you start the car and stays on than it has detected a problem during its self check. This is typically a wiring or connector issue.

If the light come on when you start the vehicle and then goes out but comes back on when you start moving than there is likely a problem with a speed sensor.

The best route is to start with a scan tool to see what codes are present and/or to see what wheel speed sensor is not working.

It also wont hurt to check you r work to see if you disconnected a speed sensor or broke a wire while servicing the brakes.

2006 Buick Lacrosse CX- ABS and T/C dash lights on (not engine light). The continuing saga.

Have the ABS codes checked. Check for power and ground at the wheel sensor harness. Check the ground wire from the ABS module to the body. I always move it from the bracket to the body. Just a note.. You will still have brakes.

2001 Acura mdx abs light stays on. Code reads 04?

I think you pulled the code incorrectly, or are reading it wrong. To get code:
1. Jump pins 4 & 9 on OD2 connector.
2. Turn key 2 clicks.
3. ABS light should blink to give you code. (long blinks for first digit, short ones for second. Example: One long blink and three short blinks would be 13).
Honda ABS trouble codes list :
11= Right front wheel sensor (open/short to body ground/short to power)
12= Faulty right front wheel sensor pulse signal
13= Left front wheel sensor (open/short to body ground/short to power)
14= Faulty left front wheel sensor pulse signal
15= Right rear wheel sensor (open/short to body ground/short to power)
16= Faulty right rear wheel sensor pulse signal
17= Left rear wheel sensor (open/short to body ground/short to power)
18= Faulty left rear wheel sensor pulse signal
21= Continous Operation (chipped pulser)
31-38 are all the same: "solenoid"
51= Motor lock
52= Motor stuck off
53= Motor stuck on
54= Main realy stuck off
61= Ignition voltage
81= CPU (central processing unit)

You wasted your time at Advanced Auto --because they
won't explain what needs to be done & you wouldn't understand
anyway

Go to a repair shop--they have to use the proper professional
scan tools & testing procedures, along with reference material

It has to be component tested

This procedure has been with us for 32 years now,
any time you get any dash lights or codes

Action tractive, abs--trk won't go

Your best bet ,take it to a qualified repair shop ! P0351, ignition coil A primary/secondary circuit-------what does this operate
The electrical circuit for the coil for cylinder # 1 , could be the wiring , coil or the driver (transistor)inside the PCM - engine computer . Replacing the PCM would need to be programmed , DEALER ONLY . Just replacing parts isn't going to fix this . Doing the diagnostic's for the code . Codes don't tell you a part is bad or needs to be replaced . All codes have a diagnostic test procedure that has to be followed to find the cause of the code setting . Don't know where you came up with B0050 & B0455 Has nothing to do with traction control . These codes would start with C . tune up right? No .
trk won't go ??????? C0445 This has to do with the rear wheel steering system !
The steering wheel position sensor (SWPS) provides one analog signal and 3 digital signals. The digital signals, Phase A, Phase B and marker pulse, are direct inputs to the rear wheel steering control module. The analog signal is input to the BCM and is sent via a class 2 message to the rear wheel steering control module. Battery voltage is supplied to the sensor from the cruise fuse to operate the digital portion of the sensor.
A 12-volt reference is provided by the rear wheel steering control module to the Phase A, Phase B, and marker pulse circuits of the SWPS. The module monitors each circuit as it is either remains high or is pulled low by the SWPS.
The scan tool displays the Phase A and Phase B data parameters as either HIGH or LOW when the steering wheel is being rotated. Each change from HIGH to LOW, or LOW to HIGH, represents one degree of steering wheel rotation. When observing the Phase A and Phase B data with the scan tool, the parameters will not always display the same value at the same time.
The marker pulse is a digital pulse signal that is displayed as HIGH by the scan tool with the steering wheel angle between +10 degrees and -10 degrees. At greater than 10 degrees steering wheel angle in either direction, the marker pulse data will be displayed as LOW.
The BCM provides the 5-volt reference and low reference for the analog portion of the SWPS. The BCM reads the SWPS analog signal in voltage, which is typically 2.5-volt with the steering wheel on center. The voltage ranges from 0.25-volt at approximately 1 full turn left to 4.75-volt at approximately 1 full turn right. The voltage will then remain at that level for the remainder of steering wheel travel. This voltage can be monitored in BCM data display.
The rear wheel steering control module receives the analog signal via a class 2 message from the BCM. When monitoring the rear wheel steering data, this information is displayed in the Steering Wheel Angle (TBC) Data parameter, and is shown in degrees. The range of the display is +/- 225 degrees, with negative numbers representing steering input to the left, and positive numbers representing input to the right.

This does not mean the sensor is bad !!!!!!!!!! Take it to a qualified repair shop before you make it non fixable .

Quadrasteerâ„¢ is a 4-wheel steering system that dramatically enhances low speed maneuverability, high speed stability, and towing capability. The system is an electrically powered rear wheel steering system comprised of the following components:
You have no idea what your messing with .
Rear Wheel Steering Control Module: The rear wheel steering control module controls all functions of the rear wheel steering system . The module has a dedicated power feed line from the under hood fuse holder. The fuse is a 125 amp mega fuse . The wiring is routed to the rear of the vehicle. The rear wheel steering control module is located above the rear mounted spare tire. The rear wheel steering control module uses the inputs listed above to determine when and how far to turn the rear wheels. The rear wheel steering control module also uses the hall switches in the steering gear motor , shorting relay , and motor control relay to monitor and control the direction and speed the motor operates. The rear wheel control module also controls the duty cycle of the phase leads to the motor . The motor control relay is part of the rear wheel steering control module and is not serviceable . The rear wheel steering control module uses both a class 2 and a discrete vehicle speed sensor signal . The system will not function without a discrete vehicle speed sensor signal . The rear wheel steering control module uses the 2 vehicle speed sensor signals for comparison purposes . The TBC sends a class 2 message for the analog portion of the signals from the steering wheel position sensor. The rear wheel steering control module uses inputs from the steering wheel position sensor to determine steering wheel position and rate of change. The rear wheel position sensor signals provide the rear wheel steering control module with rear wheel position data. The rear wheel steering control module will send out a class 2 message to the IPC to turn on and off the amber Service 4-Wheel Steering System Indicator. The rear wheel steering control module controls the indicators in the mode switch on the dash .

PLEASE READ ALL THIS INFO.

MAKE SURE THE ENGINE OIL IS CLEAN AND CHANGED AT PROPER INTERVALS
P0011 NISSAN - Intake Valve Timing Control Performance Bank 1

Symptoms - Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Possible engine lack/loss of power
- Posssible engine rough idle
Possible causes - Harness or connectors
- Intake valve timing control solenoid valve circuit is open or shorted
- Intake valve timing control solenoid valve may be faulty
- Crankshaft position sensor (POS) may be faulty
- Camshaft position sensor
Tech notes Since the Intake valve timing control solenoid valve uses oil flow to control timing, dirty oil can cause the valve to stuck open or close. Before replacing the valve, change engine oil and filter and reset engine code. When is the code detected? When there is a gap between angle of target and phase-control angle degree, the valve will stop working and the ECM will trigger the P0011 code. P0011 NISSAN Description This mechanism hydraulically controls cam phases continuously with the fixed operating angle of the intake valve.

The ECM receives signals such as crankshaft position, camshaft position, engine speed, and engine coolant temperature. Then, the ECM sends ON/OFF pulse duty signals to the intake valve timing control solenoid valve depending on driving status. This makes it possible to control the shut/open timing of the intake valve to increase engine torque in low/mid speed range and output in high-speed range.

The intake valve timing control solenoid valve changes the oil amount and direction of flow through intake valve timing control unit or stops oil flow. The longer pulse width advances valve angle. The shorter pulse width retards valve angle. When ON and OFF pulse widths become equal, the solenoid valve stops oil pressure flow to fix the intake valve angle at the control position.
MAKE SURE YOUR OIL IS CLEAN AND CHANGED AT PROPER INTERVALS.

Pontiac G6 ABS Problem

when the ABS light comes on you will not hear or feel anything cause soon as the ABS light comes on the ABS is disabled
sounds like it is weather related (rain,snow)
i would check both rear wheel speed sensor harnesses for water intrusion if you see any corrosion (green) on the terminals replace both the hub and harness
if there is no corrosion then check resistance of the sensor also check for a short to ground
if that is ok then put some dielectric lube on the wheel speed sensor terminals and clear the codes and see what happens
intermittent problems can be hard to find
hope this helps

Abs lights keep coming on? 2006 Monte Carlo. 44,000 miles. Started car this morning, antilock brake yellow light and ABS yellow light both came on. No change in braking performance I can feel. Is it under...

yes it would be under warenty go to the dealer and have them look at it if you need help after that contact me for more help. It could get expensive to fix yourself and it takes special tools to work on abs, it could be as simple as a bad wheel sensor and has to be fixed and the light reset, the dealer has a computer to test and fix it and it would be no cost to you, the only thing they would not cover is if the brakes needed replaced but the ABS would be covered, and hurry time is short for Gm.
