I have a 96 chevrolet blazer and my four wheel drive will not work. i looked under the vehicle and the front driveshaft from the transfer case to the front axles is moving when you engage the four wheel drive but front axles don't seem to lock in. i replaced a vacuum piece located under the battery but still doesn't seem to work.
When you engage it in 4 wheel make sure you are getting vacuum to the acuator just pull the hose off and feel to see if there is vacuum if not check all vacuum hoses
I just replaced the actuator in my 96 Blazer and the 4WD works perfectly! I use this vehicle to deliver mail and I'm grateful it was only a $30 part. Check to make sure all the hoses are connected at the other end of the actuator since you've already replaced that. Good Luck!
Theransfer case may not be fully engaging
