SOURCE: vibration at 100km/h

Hi crusty1,
Have you tried to exceed the 100km/h and if so does the vibration go away.... If so, take the vehicle for wheel balancing.... alignment would be a good idea at the same time.... If the vibration becomes worse and does not go away, have the universal joints inspected.....
If these suggestions fail, let us know more details about the vibration....For example, do you feel it through the steering wheel, or is it through the seat....Does the whole vehicle become effected....Does it seem to be in front, or from the rear? Give us more details....

Regards, Johngee10

Fuses are located by the side of the dash board when you open the driver's door. The fuel pump fuse is situated in there.

How to replace audi a6 3.2 climate control

Yes it needs to be coded and adapted for that car so it works with equipment installed . Depending on year it may need to be released from component protection mode, thats an anti theft mode.

"Retriger airbag control unit"??? NOT! If the airbags are deployed in a 2000 Audi A4, the airbag control unit MUST be replaced. Pleases refer to 2000 Audi A4 service information for more details.

Try inspecting the wiring harness that runs from the car body to the door. Most common issues are wiring breaks in this section due to constant open and closing of doors.

Audi a4 throttle control unit

immobilizer not recognizing key. vehicle will start and cut out immediately. try unplugging instrument cluster and recconecting as they sometimes develope a bad connection due to connector pins being very fine. check connection between ignition barrel and dash cluster. immobilizer built into cluster. if engine control unit has been changed immobilizer won't recognise it, must be adapted using diagnostic reader. this is done by entering instruments [code 17] select adaption [code 10] and channel 00 [erase learned values] and confirm. keys may need to be adapted to immobilizer [only at dealer as key code is needed.

Overheating

Is the car-heating also staying cold while the engine is overheating ?

The waterpump is a much known cause for this type of problem with A4s and since you don't have any leakage, it's the most likely cause (especially if the car-heating is staying cold).

Shouldn't be a fuel issue.

Audi fault code J386 (2002)

There's a TSB on that problem. It involves broken wires in the A and B pillar from the central convenience module to the rest of the car. Ask your VW dealership or what not for a more specific answer.
