Show location camshaft position sensor 99 Kia sportage

It says looking at engine it's on the right side, this is the driver's side. Behind engine next to firewall, but it also says you have to take off intake and cam cover, the intake looking at engine is on the left. This is very confusing. Trying to help a friend get their car working, to have a way to doctor

Camshaft position located at rear end of cylinder head.
Crankshaft position sensor, located at lower left side end of engine.

Both sensors are bolted on with one bolt and replacement is simple, only problem could be accessing them due to location.

Location of camshaft position sensor on a 2002 oldsmobile bravada

4200 vortec, Its located in front of engine, its just below the engine oil fill cap, right by the coolant hose is the camshaft position sensor (CMP)
If your looking for the camshaft positioning actuator solenoid its location is on the exhaust manifold side on the top right corner of the cylinder head, if your looking at the motor from the exhaust side, its behind the power steering fill. You have to remove the belt to loosin the power steering pump through the pulley then kind of push it aside as you take out the camshaft actuator solenoid.

I can't find the camshaft position sensor. I don't know much about this stuff. I have went to auto zone and advance auto and heard 3 different stories. Came home and tore the car down 3 different places...

The cam shaft position sensor is located right behind the exhaust cam by the fire wall. It is held by two 10 mm bolts, one on each side of the sensor. If you got the hood up and looking at the engine the cam that is on the right hand is the exhaust cam. To get to the CPS you have to remove the intake and cam top cover.
