SOURCE: 1988 Jaguar Vanden replace headlight
What you need to do is remove the 2 screws on the top bezel from inside the engine bay, then underneath the outer corner of the plastic headlamp surround there is a philips screw, (put your head under neath car near from wheel) loosen the screw, do not remove it, now the headlamp plastic bezel/surround will come free enough so you can get a philips screwdriver in through the middle of the headlamp surround, there is a chrome retaining ring holding the headlamp in place, loosen the 3 philips screws (do not remove) The retaining ring will rotate and you can slide the ring out from the outer edge of the headlamp surround. The headlamp will then come out throught the middle of the surround, disconnect the 3 pin multiplug and reverse process for install.
SOURCE: leaking valve covers, 2000 jaguar vanden plas supercharged
no there is'nt enough pressure underneath to make it leak try tighting up the valve cover bolts or just getting a new gasket about a $6.00 to $10.00 dollar fix depending on where you go
SOURCE: Jaguar Vanden Plas 1996 where is fuel filter located?
The fuel filter is an inline type, and is located up under the Driverside rear wheel arch. If you get underneath and look up and behind the rear coil spring you will see it. just follow the fuel lines from the tank. It's a bit tight and you will get covered in fuel but it's doable.
Fram's number is G3727, which is the same used on my '04 Chevy Suburban. You'll need to release the fuel pressure by unscrewing the gas cap first. Also, you'll need some wrenches to hold fast both at the filter and line ends, plus some rags and a coffee can to catch/absorb the fuel that will spill out of both the filter and the line; you'll loose about 1/2 a cup. Good luck.
SOURCE: Air conditioner does not blow cold air
all cars of that year use r-134 refrigerant. Follow the ac lines till you run across the service port. The one near the evaporator (front of engine) is the high side; leave that one alone. It usually is marked with a red cap
the low side port is near the firewall, and usualy has a blue cap. The valve for a refill can usuallly will only fit on a low side. When filling the can will get very cold very fast. If the can doesnt start to get cold immediately, remove it you have it on the wrong side. Make sure to remove it immediately, as keeping it on the high side will pump liquid freon into the can causing it to explode.
