Seems to be a complete electrical failure

Can someone please shed some light? I went to start my Saab cse 9000 and nothing happened! I used 3 days ago. Now nothing works at all, not even the hazard lights. Seems to be a complete electrical failure. I tried to unlock/lock the car via remote but nut working. The interior lights not working. Car has new (1 year) battery I don't know what I need to do.

Always start at least 80% of all vehicle checking with
the battery first

Never go by how many years or miles are on something

If some module failed to time out, your battery goes dead in,
as you said, about 3 days & check if you left the interior lights on

SOME OF THE REMOTES REQUIRE THAT THE KEY BE IN THE IGNITION, IN THE ON POSITION. TAKE THE BATTERY OUT AND WAIT 10 MINUTES. THEN PUT THE KEY IN THE IGNITION AND INSTALL THE BATTERY WHILE THE KEY IS TURNED TO THE ON POSITION. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED. THANKS FOR AN HONEST RATING AND FOR USING FIX-YA. GOOD LUCK

SAAB 9000 CSE 1996 - Coolant likage

With the vapor coming out I would say you have a hole in one of the heater hoses which go into the firewall in the area you describe. Inspect the hoses looking for the vapor with the engine still hot.

It could also be a leak in the heater core. The vent the vapor came out of is the source for fresh air for the heater and a/c. You should be able to smell antifreeze with the heater on inside the car if the leak is there. Water may also drip on the passenger side floor from the heater core.

It sounds like the timing chain self adjuster is not operating properly.
This unit is internal and is oil fed by engine oil pump.
Sometimes it can be remedied by replacing engine oil and filter, try 15x40 oil (for warm weather) or 5w30 (Cold climates)
