I have no brakes

I replaced master cyclinder, power booster and new brake pads and bled the brakes and brake pedal still goes all way to floor. what am i missing

That's scary that even though you've done all that to your car, your brakes still aren't working and the pedal goes all the way to the ground. My BMW's brakes are also struggling. They work, but they're making some pretty loud screeching sounds. We should probably both find someone who can take a look at our cars and fix our problems. https://www.luxuryimportautorepair.com/p...

I think there may be an issue with the connection. you must look once again on all the connections and master cylinder. You may also visit https://gocarcraft.com/car-brake-service-athens/

It can be issue with master cylinder or the problem is there is still some air there in the system that has to be bleed. Or else the parts replaced are not aligned properly/.I suggest everything back.

There are few help links mentioned below to troubleshoot the issue.

SOURCE: STILL DOESN"T WORK!!!

you need to use a pressure system to add fluid into the master cylinder and then bleed it.

SOURCE: brake pedal dropping to floor

do u have the antilock brake bleeding tool? if not you will need to have the dealer bleed the brakes, the ABS control valve must be electricaly held open to bleed the brakes there of course is a special tool for this.

You need to check wheel cylinders, the only way that the brake peddle will go to the floor like that is if there is a lose of fluid pressure somewhere .

2001 Silverado 2500 HD Why Rear brakes don't work after I installed new hydro-boost power booster, master cylinder, calipers, and pads. I bled master cylinder before installing, and brakes beginn

Hello Patricia,

Have you checked the master brake cylinder reservoir for brake fluid loss?

I don't suspect the master cylinder as you have replaced it... but am more suspect of a leaking brake line or fitting which should have
been discovered when you had the system bled.

The only time I ever had a rear brake problem with a 2500 series Chevrolet was due to seized rear brake caliper guide pins...as your calipers are also new that is not your problem.

If your brake pedal feels spongy and travels to the floor board you have air in the system, a brake fluid leak or a failure in the power steering system, such as a broken hose, broken power steering pump drive belt, or failed pump, would result in a loss of pressure to both the hydro-boost and steering.

When truck is off, pedal is hard. after starting, pedal goes to floor. replaced master cylinder, bled brakes. changed front and rear pads.

I would inspect the brake booster for vacuum leak. When the booster is not working you get a hard pedal, yet when you start the vehicle the pedal will hit the floor because of the damaged diaphram inside the brake booster.

Brake pedal goes nearly to floor front pads, calipers, brake hoses changed, rotors turned Master cylinder changed, brake booster check valve changed rear brakes checked, drums good no ridge, shoe's...

I would go with not bled correctly

The booster should hold up with a hard pedal until
you start the engine, then vacuum causes it to move
down when pressing on the brake

Have no brake pressure, pedal goes straight to floor, put on new calipers and pads and bled the lines but I am no better off.

Sounds like a bad brake booster. To test, pump up the brakes with the engine off. While holding the brake pedal down, start the car. The brake pedal should drop a couple of inches and hold. If it doesn't, replace the booster.

Brake pedal goes to the floor only when engine is running. Pedal is perfect with engine off.

your power brake booster is blown out
the seal has a leak in it
run the truck for 3 minutes and shut it off. with the windows up listen carefully while you gently apply the brakes
listen for a hissing sound of air leaking.
the sound of these leaking is a very soft sound
