The firing order is: 1, 8, 4, 3, 6, 5, 7, 2

Not off top my head but most change auto part store r able give you a print out long they year make and witch moter it is
You should have traced them before you took it apart! the only way to figure it out(besides looking at a similar truck or a manual) is to connect one wire at a time to see if it backfires or fires the correct cylinder.(this will be a huge pain on a V8, I usually only try this on 4 cylinder engines).Once you figure it out, clean an area under the hood, and draw a diagram with a sharpie, then clear coat it with spray paint.

Check the wheel bearing free play by rocking the wheel side to side by hand . If you feel any knocking then they need to be adjusted. Also check the panhard rod bushes , this is the rod connecting the front axle to the chasis.Have the wheel alignment checked if these are o.k.

SOURCE: distributor cap and spark plug leads order/layout?
The firing order is 1342. The cylinders are numbered from left to right 1234. Depending on wether it is a 16 valve engine, the distributor cap lead number one position is at the front on the left, if its a normal 8 valve engine , the distributor cap lead number one is at the front pointing straight at the front. So, moving anti clockwise, the next lead will be number 3, then 4 , then 2.

go to the link below for a diagram of how the plug wires go and cylinder locations by number, just match the location on the cap to the corresponding cylinder.
