05 Dodge Neon engine light and acceleration problem

As of right now the problem is random acceleration loss when check engine light is on. If I turn the car off and then start again it is fixed for a unknown amount of time. I believe its a sensor but i dont have money to get the code. I have seen many other posts with the same problem, somebody has an answer, right? Please help me!!??

Also wont go above 60mph when problem is present..ITS FRIGGIN WEIRD. Give me an old school car

When i need a code read i go to ORielies auto parts and they read codes for free..and so far accurately i'm sure other auto parts stores offer the same service for free.

p0513 invalid skim key
do you have an aftermarket alarm that is "remote start" compatible? if so, the skim is reading that the car is starting without a key, but the alarm module is allowing it to start, bypassing the skim module.

p0517 High battery temp sensor.
Either the battery is gettign to hot and/or it has a bad sensor.

you have to get scanned for fault codes..possible camshaft sensor if you have starting issues..if car is working fine,could be an evap leak..let me know

the computer may need to be reflashed. if it is running then it is not a bad sensor. either of those being bad would cause it not to run.

I have a 2000 neon it cuts out and sputters when you accelerate around a turn. No check engine light is on and it works just fine other than that.

I had a 2000 neon did the same thing. Ended up being the fuel pump.

Why wont my car accelerate?

If you have an overdrive transmission the direct drive clutch may not be releasing. Have the trouble codes read to see if the computer or a sensor is starting to fail.

Chevy 2500 4x4 truck,, wont excelarate right, acts like its running out of gas, good fuel pressure, new mass air flow senser, still does it... any ideals???????

When maintaining speed of about 50mph,2004 pacifica hesitates and will cut off while in park sometimes.check engine light is not on

My dodge neon 05 was having problems to start we have installed a new starter timing belt, battery and the alternator is fine we have made sure that all the marks on the timing belt is right. We finally...

ok......one question is you say when you start to drive, so I assume that at idle, standstill, there is no abnormal noises...even when you rev the engine.......its only when you drive and accelerate ?????

11= Timing belt skipped 1 tooth or more from initial learned value, Intermittent loss of either camshaft or crankshaft position sensor, No crank reference signal detected during engine cranking for dodge odb readout. Hope this helps.
